Congratulations to Holly Kinder for receiving the university wide Outstanding Teaching Assistant award for her teaching in multiple undergraduate research courses. Holly has done amazing work over the last two years leading a team of undergraduates in developing novel behavioral tests for studying learning, memory and behavior in pigs. As part of this work, she has closely mentored more than 20 undergraduate students. She has helped them learn all about experimental design, data analysis, collection and interpretation. Holly has worked late into the night helping students improve their presentation skills with many of them presenting oral and poster presentations at the UGA CURO symposium, the CAES Undergraduate Research symposium and the Regenerative Bioscience Research symposium. Here mentoring activities can only be described as “Outstanding”.
