The West Lab is proud to announce that Hend Rasheed has been awarded the Fall 2017 CURO Research Assistantship!
Hend Rasheed is a second year undergraduate majoring in Genetics and minoring in Spanish and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is very excited to be a part of the West Lab, as she finds regenerative medicine extremely interesting. She has helped the graduate students with the Acute iNSC Transplantation project and working with the other undergraduates to design their own project to characterize anxious behavior in pigs. She hopes to eventually attend medical school. Outside of the West Lab, she is on the exec board for Red Cross and for her service sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma. She also works in another lab in the Ecology department here at UGA, for which she has perviosuly presented at the CURO symposium.
