Taylor Hillhouse

Ph.D. Student

Taylor is a PhD student in the Regenerative Bioscience Program focusing on the microbiome-gut-brain axis and the use of neural stem cell extracellular vesicles (NSC EV) as a treatment for traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Her PhD research primarily focuses on the human microbiota-gut-brain axis. She is researching how the manipulation of the human microbiome affects the brain development and function of those diagnosed with neurological disorders and/or injury.

Taylor graduated with a BSA in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in May of 2022.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys hiking, cooking/baking, and spending time with her many animals.
