Paisli Ivey

Ph.D. Student

Paisli is a PhD student in the Regenerative Bioscience Program. Her research focuses on the effects of mesenchymal stem cell extracellular vesicles (MSC EVs) therapy in traumatic brain injury.

Paisli’s research focuses on how non-primed and primed mesenchymal stem cell extracellular vesicles (MSC EVs) can promote dynamic cellular, tissue and functional recovery in pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI). TBI is a major cause of death and longterm disability in children with no current FDA approved treatment. MSC EVs deliver neuroprotective and regenerative microRNAs, proteins, lipids, and other bioactive molecules that prevent TBI brain damage and promote tissue recovery. She graduated from The Ohio State University in December 2024 with a BS in Agriculture majoring in Animal Sciences with a Biosciences specialization and minoring in Mycology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hanging out with animals (especially horses) and the great outdoors!
